2026 Fall Registration Details


Welcome to the Farmington Youth Football Registration 2026!

Farmington Youth Football Association was established with a primary purpose to foster the development of Farmington youth by teaching proper, safe techniques and ethical practices for football, to encourage effective communication, cooperation, sportsmanship, and healthy competition, to develop the value and self-esteem of each individual participant, and to create an atmosphere where camaraderie, inclusiveness, accountability, learning and respect are valued.<br>

This registration session will allow you to complete contact information, sign up for participation, and submit payment. Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately. To complete registration through our secure site, please have your Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or checking account information available. Following the completion of this registration, you will see a charge on your account from FYFA Football. 


Register before June 30th for a free practice t-shirt and socks.


Registration will close on June 30th (late registrations MAY be accepted at certain age levels).



Registration Fee

Tackle Bar Football - 2nd and 3rd Grade- $225 total

Tackle Football - 4th through 8th Grade - $275 total

*payment plans available



Registration fee includes at least 8 games with officials and weekday practices.


Equipment

The Association Provides:

  • Game jersey
  • Practice jersey
  • Shoulder pads
  • Helmet
  • Football pants
  • Knee pads


Extra Costs

Player is responsible to provide their own:

  • Mouth guard
  • Girdle
  • Cleats
  • Protective cup


NEW: A pre-written $300 equipment deposit check is no longer required at equipment pick-up.

If equipment is not returned at the end of the season, a $300 replacement fee will be charged to the payment method on file.

Equipment Handout - Makeup Date - July 27th @ 5:00 pm

  • If you did not make the previous equipment handout date, the makeup date will be tomorrow, Monday, July 27th at 5:00 pm at Boeckman Middle School (800 Denmark Ave, Farmington, MN 55024). Equipment will be handed out at the equipment container by the practice fields.

Once teams are formed, game times can be found on the Crossbar calendar (and synced to your device). Additionally, game schedules and game records can be found on MYAS South Metro 6 League.


Starting August 24th:

Grades 7th & 8th will be practicing at FHS

Evaluation /Combine Dates

Evaluation and Combine - Week of July 27th

What to Bring:

Reminder that the Evaluations/Combine for team placement starts tomorrow, Monday, July 27 for 3rd and 6th-8th grade and Tuesday, July 28th for 4th-5th grade (see below). 

  • Everyone - Please bring big water bottles (32 oz. minimum) and mouth guards each day!


Players should wear t-shirts and shorts (not pants) the week of July 27th. Please bring the following by grade: 


  • 2nd & 3rd Grade - helmets, cleat and shorts only


  • 4th Grade - helmets, cleats and shorts only


  • 5th Grade:
  • Day 1: Helmet, cleats and shorts only
  • Day 2: Helmet, shoulder pads & practice jersey, cleats and shorts


  • 6th-8th Grade:
  • Days 1-2: Helmet, cleats and shorts only
  • Days 3-4: Helmet, shoulder pads & practice jersey, cleats and shorts





RAFFLE

In 2026 each family is required to purchase $100 worth of raffle tickets prior to equipment being handed out, tickets can be kept or sold. If any family does not wish to participate in the raffle they may opt out for a $100 fee payable at equipment handout.

Games

Teams will play a minimum of 8 games, many of which will be held on Saturday's; each team should expect at least one or two week night games.

Due to Labor Day falling so late in the year, some teams may play a Saturday (8/29) game prior to Labor Day.


VOLUNTEERING

Four (4) hours per player of volunteer hours is required, a $150 buyout is available during registration process.


NEW: We are no longer collecting $200 prewritten checks for volunteer hours.

If volunteer hours are NOT fulfilled by the end of the season, a $200 fee will be charged to the payment method on file.

Frequently Asked Questions

Team Selection

Each grade will practice together during evaluation sessions and/or the first week. Teams will be allowed to form once full combine/evaluation data is provided to FYFA Player/Coach Director, along with discussions concerning equal formation. 

Grades 6th- 8th will conduct a player draft at first opportune time.

Grades 2/3rd - 5th teams will be selected by grade leaders at end of first week of practice. All teams play in the South Metro Six Youth Football League, which requires balanced teams if there are more than one team at an age level.

If for some reason your player cannot attend the first week of practice, please contact farmingtonyouthfb@gmail.com as soon as possible.

 

Farmington Youth Football Association will Feature:

  • 2nd/3rd Grade will play Padded Flag using the Tackle Bar system to learn proper technique, USA Football Rookie League Rules, reduced player and field size.  Limited Travel games against other South Metro teams composed primarily of 3rd grade players.


  • 4th Grade playing tackle football under USA Football Rookie League Rules with reduced players on the field and 40-yard playing field with 35-yard width.


  • 5th Grade playing tackle football under USA Football Rookie League Rules with reduced players on the field and 80-yard playing field with 35-yard width.


  • Grade specific tackle football teams at 6th-8th Grade (no combined grade teams) with 11-players and regulation sized field.


  • All Coaches certified by USA Heads Up Football and Trusted Coaches (includes Concussion and Child Safety certificates) and Background checks.


  • FHS Base Formations, Plays & Cadences taught in a progressive learning environment.


  • FHS Coaches and FHS Athletes volunteering as available to support the youth program.


Refund Policy

  • Prior to Equipment Handout 100% refund
  • Equipment is handed out 75% refund
  • After 1st week of practice 50% refund
  • After 2nd week of practice no refund
